If you are missing teeth, chances are you’ve spoken with a dentist about your options for dental restorations. Here at Greenwood Park Dentistry, we’ve made significant investments into our practise to ensure you have access to the best technology available.
We are proud to use CEREC technology, which allows us to better serve our patients by providing top-quality dental restoration in a single visit to your Kingston dentist.
What is CEREC?
CEREC stands for Ceramic Reconstruction. CEREC uses a durable ceramic material to quickly restore damaged teeth, resulting in a beautiful, natural-coloured restoration that is much stronger than before.
The CEREC system uses 3D imaging to create a virtual impression of your mouth, right from the dentist’s chair. The images taken are used to create a ceramic crown or veneer that perfectly matches the shape and colour of your natural teeth… and it can all be done in under 30 minutes! Because everything from imaging, replacement fabrication and installation happens right in the dental office, we are now able to provide permanent replacement of your missing teeth in a single visit.
These are the two things you’ll love most about using the CEREC system to replace your missing teeth:
The CEREC system is convenient
Your teeth can be replaced in single visit. No need to schedule multiple appointments around your other regular-life commitments. You’ll only need to visit us once, and the whole process is complete without the need for temporary fixes or impression trays, and with fewer injections.
The CEREC system is effective
CEREC restorations look natural because they are made of a ceramic material that is custom-made to match the unique shade as your teeth. There is no metal involved at all, so there will be no silver fillings showing at all. The ceramic material is high grade, anti-abrasive and resistant to plaque.
The CEREC system is comfortable
Did we have you at no impression trays? How about fewer injections? Because the CEREC system uses 3D imagery to get a precise picture of your teeth, there is no need to sit in the chair with those yucky impression trays in your mouth! Also, because tooth replacements using the CEREC system can be fully completed in just one visit, there are fewer needles required – meaning more comfort for the patient.
